Galegos

Monday April 25 we got up, packed a lunch from the breakfast buffet, put on our hats, and went on an 11.5km hike in Galegos (a 20 minute drive from Marvao). Coming within 50 meters or so of the Spanish border, this is a place caught in time. We saw people putting small herds of goats out to graze, walked among stone walls and buildings many hundreds of years old, and soaked up the ageless beauty of Portugal.
