Se (Lisbon)
"In 1150, three years after Afonso Henriques recaptured Lisbon from the Moors, he built a cathedral for the first bishop of Lisbon, the English crusader Gilbert of Hastings, on the site of the old mosque. Se is short for Sedes Episcopalis, the seat (or see) of a bishop." We found it to be beautiful but a bit shabby, like much of Lisbon's older city center.
